Denton, Texas based songwriter Michael Shane Borden channels influences such as Billy Joe Shaver, Rodney Crowell, Willie Nelson, Guy Clark, et al, to every song he pens. Then he adds his own quirky tongue-in-cheek signature and a penchant for storytelling to make each song his own. Borden’s music has found its way onto shows such as Sex and the City, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Oprah Winfrey, Skins, and tons of others, while his live shows have him brought him from backwoods dives to the largest Country Music festival in the world in Mirande, France. His songwriting started with a $3 drugstore guitar and a love of music going back to his childhood. Blending traditional Country, Rockabilly, and Blues, his unique style of lead guitar another adds an element of interest to this artist’s already unique live shows. Michael Shane is currently working on his fourth studio album with a planned release date in the Spring of 2023.
