John Dempsy’s career has spanned 20 plus years in Texas and nationally

He has played with artists and writers including but not limited to Aaron Barker (songwriter of George Strait's hits Baby Blue and Love Without End, Amen), Gary Chapman, Jack Ingram, Grammy award-winning and RIAA certified diamond selling artist and writer David Hodges, RIAA certified diamond selling producer/songwriter Steven Solomon, Songwriting Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy award-winning Liz Rose, Drew Kennedy, Jason Eady, and many more.

He's a veteran performer of the famed Whiskey Jam at Winner's Bar in Nashville as well as Gruene Hall, Coupland Dance Hall, Love & War In Texas, The Rustic, The Saxon Pub, The Blue Light, and many more.

He's had the honor of opening for Jason Boland, Jack Ingram, The Great Divide, Cody Canada and The Departed, Stoney LaRue, William Clark Green, Copper Chief, and more. He's the winner of 2016 Shiner Rising Star, Winner of Schoepf's Songwriter Challenge 2019, Alumni of Texas Songwriter U, and Alumni of The Whiskey Jam.

His current EP, "Beautiful Wreck," is a culmination of his journey to here. Co-written and produced by his brother award-winning producer and songwriter Steven Solomon...it's powerful and expressive...A couple of the releases hit the Texas Charts, including "Hold On Sister" climbing all the way to #21 as an independent artist.
